We cannot allow Brexit vitriol to put women off politics

“After all, it will not be the white men of Westminster who face the worst abuse on the streets, or discrimination in the workplace, or cannot pay their bills if Britain leaves the EU with the options currently on the table. It is women and minorities who will pay the highest price. And it is women who are already suffering the consequences. I hate to think what a young girl might think of politics as it is today, it looks more than ever like a sneering snooty boys’ club…Let’s have a new referendum to stand up for a different future, a different politics that respects and embraces diversity of perspective. It’s the only way forward.” Rosie Duffield MP in The Times.
